Zinda Tilismath was founded in 1920 by Hakeem Mohammed Moizuddin Farooqui, based on the Unani system of medicine. This was the period when new industries were beginning to emerge in the then State of Hyderabad and were adding to the grandeur of the Deccan.
Hakeem Mohammed Moizuddin Farooqui was a renowned Unani practitioner of his day, who had completed his studies from Delhi University. He received his Hikmat (Degree in Unani Medicine) during the time of the Spanish influenza.

The Spanish flu pandemic of 1918 infected an estimated 33% of the world’s population. There were no effective treatments and no widespread efforts to prevent the spread. It was the second or Autumnal Wave, a mutated virus, that was the main course and killed millions in just four months. Hakeem Mohammed Moizuddin Farooqui was a philanthropist and wanted to develop an effective vaccine based on the Influenza virus that could be easily affordable by the general public. The formulation of Zinda Tilismath was not only revolutionary in helping those affected by the flu but also grew in popularity due to its numerous uses for household ailments, both internally and externally.

Hakeem Mohammed Moizuddin Farooqui was an exceptional marketer, he catalysed the growth of this Unani formulation with his unique skills & abilities. He also formulated the Farooky Tooth Powder, before his demise in 1954. Zinda Tilismath has emerged today as makers of the best internationally known products of Unani Medicine. After the demise of Hakeem Mohammed Moizuddin Farooqui, the mantle was passed down to his eldest son, Mihajuddin Farooqui who was only 17 at the time. Soon, followed by his younger brothers Raufuddin Farooqui, Hashimuddin Farooqui & Masihuddin Farooqui who successfully managed to expand the family business in the southern parts of India. In recent years, the Zinda Tilismath company has experienced tremendous growth with the third generation of the family managing the business. Zinda Tilismath is currently managed by Imad Farooqui, Sohail Farooqui & Owais Farooqui with the same values that were instilled by our founder with commitment to quality & compliance.
